Hi, I'm Kaysie Rose O'Hanian -- but I just go by Kaysie Rose professionally!
I am a PhD student in the Department of Mathematics at Iowa State University, where I've been since August 2022. Currently, I am the Department's Lead Teaching Assistant, as well as the (Co)-President of AWM@ISU and the Vice-President of the Mathematics Graduate Student Organization (MGSO). My current research interests fall under frame theory, especially equi-isoclinic sequences of subspaces. At the moment, I am working on improving various bounds on equi-isoclinic subspaces using techniques from linear algebra.
Before I came to grad school, I taught two years of high school in Queen Creek, AZ -- including creating my own original curriculum for a Speech and Debate course. At ISU, I've served in every type of TA role: grader, help room tutor, recitation leader, and standalone course instructor.
I graduated from a small liberal arts school in Michigan with a double major in Mathematics and English, as well as minors in Spanish and Education. While I was there, I competed in four years of AMTA Mock Trial.
I expect to be on the job market for post-docs next year, and I am currently looking for summer internships. You can contact me at kaysie@iastate.edu!
Note: Please message me from a .edu address if possible, as this helps avoid problems with Iowa State's email filter.
